Well as you can imagine, this is another venting post.
I read an email today (must have been sent this morning as I checked my email pretty late last night) asking if I could transfer some money into one of the accounts I keep track of because she wrote a check and doesn't think there's enough in there to cover it.
How do you not keep track of how much is in the account? She's the only one w/ the checkbook right now and she's not keeping track? Lord help us!
No I can't transfer money into the account today...that account is a two signature and the other signature is in Boulder! And she didn't bother to tell me how much she needs transfered either.
Okay, I feel a little better now! Notice I'm on-line (we have dial up) so that she can't call me to get this fixed.
update: It turns out that she had plenty of money in the account after she put the correct amount for a deposit down...she had 123 and the deposit was for 729. How do you mess that up?
ReplyDeleteOh my! I don't know how I'm gonna keep a straight face the next time I see her.
Hey, you do that for people? Can you transfer in money for me? Hee hee!
ReplyDeleteLOL! First you would need two accounts and to put me as a signer on both of them.... ;o)
ReplyDeleteThank goodness this isn't my money! Sometimes I have to remind myself of that frequently. I should write that in HUGE letters across everything... but then the next poor soul who takes this job might do an audit to see if I remembered that. I know I did on the previous treasurer, she went through a bankruptcy.
